Spectra Search is a fast, minimal, privacy-focused search engine that enables users to browse the web without behavioral tracking, profile indexing, or targeted ads. It returns clean web search results, images, and AI-generated Quick Answers.
Is Spectra Mail secure?
Yes. Spectra Mail implements a dual-layer encryption architecture to protect your data. All message traffic between client apps, our servers, and delivery gateways is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS) in transit. Once received, all message contents, metadata, and fields are encrypted using military-grade AES-256 encryption at rest before being written to the database. Senders are verified using cryptographic signatures (Svix), and an automated rule engine filters spam.
How does location-based search work privately on Spectra?
Spectra resolves queries like "pizza near me" securely. If browser location is declined or unavailable, our system falls back to server-side Netlify edge geolocation headers, fetching the approximate city and subdivision based on the client connection IP without prompt delays or coordinate mapping.
